About me:
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan Eric Andrews enrolled in pre-college art classes at The Center for Creative Studies before heading east to study illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York City. After receiving his BFA he continued his studies at The Art Students League also in New York City.
He’s exhibited his works at various galleries including The Studio Montclair Gallery, The County College of Morris Art&Design, The Village West Gallery and The Art Students League.
Working primarily in oils, acrylics and pen&ink, his work focuses mainly on cityscapes, caricature and portraiture. Along with commissions and private tutoring he also teaches, most recently at The Mary McLeod Bethune Center where he could often be heard quoting Thoreau’s famous dictum: “It’s not what you look at that matters; it’s what you see.”
